ISU Athletics Department Communication Internship

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Distributed and updated stats and other information to various locations throughout the stadium(s), including

        the locker rooms, radio/tv booths, and post-game pressers

  • Reported and forwarded pertinent quotes from press conferences to be used in school publications and media

        releases

  • Accountable for equipping and maintaining the flow of information into and from the press box on​

        football/basketball game days

During my Internship with ISU Athletics, I learned a myriad of skills pertaining to Public Relations and the Sports Communication world. Some of those skills included, but were not limited to:

  • Transcribing interviews

  • Researching newspaper clippings

  • Practicing media etiquette

  • Effective press release writing
